Compliance Internship Program RECENT GRADS

Ascensus is looking for recent or upcoming freshers who want to learn the technical intricacies of US pension plans as a Compliance Intern. During this 9 month program, you’ll have an enriching experience collaborating with seasoned professionals and gaining invaluable insights and experience in the retirement industry. This is a post graduate full-time internship with the possibility of converting to full time at the completion of the program at which time you will be eligible for full benefits.

About the Role: We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Interns to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance testing tasks, including Census load, Allocated links, financial data reconciliation, and more. The ideal candidates will have a background in actuarial science or mathematics and a keen interest in compliance and regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Census Load: Assist in the preparation and loading of census data into compliance systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Allocated Links: Support the creation and management of allocated links for compliance testing purposes.

• Financial Data Reconciliation: Perform basic financial data reconciliation tasks to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance testing processes and results.

• Reporting: Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance team to identify and resolve any issues related to compliance testing tasks.

• Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your understanding of compliance processes and regulatory requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: Recently completed (2025 or 2026) master’s degree in mathematics (MSC) or MBA Finance.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data management tools.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
