The Opportunity
We are seeking an Acquisition Analyst to support our acquisitions and investment team with deal sourcing, underwriting, market research, due diligence, and transaction execution. Working closely with senior investment professionals, you will gain hands-on experience across the full deal lifecycle while developing strong analytical and investment skills.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Underwriting
Build and maintain acquisition financial models, cash flow projections, and return analyses.
Underwrite value-add business plans, including renovation assumptions and exit strategies.
Analyze rent rolls, operating statements, and historical property performance.
Support debt, capital stack, and joint venture modeling.
Maintain underwriting templates and analytical tools.
Market Research & Deal Evaluation
Conduct market, submarket, and competitive research across target markets.
Screen acquisition opportunities and prepare preliminary investment summaries.
Gather transaction comps and market data using platforms such as CoStar, RealPage, and Yardi Matrix.
Track market activity and support investment strategy development.
Due Diligence & Transactions
Assist with due diligence, document review, and data room management.
Coordinate third-party reports, property inspections, and site visits.
Review leases, contracts, and operating agreements, preparing concise summaries.
Support transaction execution through closing.
Investment & Team Support
Prepare investment committee materials, lender packages, and presentations.
Maintain deal pipeline reports and broker databases.
Support investor reporting, portfolio analysis, and special projects.
Coordinate meetings, property tours, and administrative activities for the investment team.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, commercial real estate, or a related analytical role. Strong internship experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of real estate valuation, underwriting, and investment analysis.
Exposure to multifamily or commercial real estate is preferred.
Skills
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn.
