Summary
The Leasing Agent is responsible for touring prospective tenants, processing applications, and managing resident inquiries. This role involves updating resident databases, conducting apartment inspections, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Standards. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.
The Leasing Agent’s responsibilities may vary slightly based on location; however, strong communication skills and a personable demeanor are key factors to success. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude are also crucial. This position is located in Evanston, IL.
Schedule
Tuesday - Friday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities
Complies with local and federal Fair Housing Standards
Touring prospects and leasing apartments
Responsible for updating resident databases
Process applications
Responds to residents’ inquiries
Conducts inspections of vacant apartments
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-2 years of experience in sales and customer service, previous leasing experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Yardi experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Approachable and friendly demeanor
Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work with all levels of employees
Compensation
Hourly Rate Range for this position: $19.00 - $23.00
Leasing Commissions
Up to 8% Annual Property Management Bonus
