Digital-first fashion and lifestyle brand Theater has raised Rs 56.25 crore (approximately $6 million) in a Series A funding round led by Niveshaay, marking a significant increase in the company's valuation as it continues to scale its business.
The round also saw participation from FirstPort Capital, Skagen Ventures, Saket Agarwal, Vishal Julka, IPV International and other investors. The fresh capital will support business expansion, working capital requirements, balance-sheet strengthening and future growth initiatives.
Theater's Valuation Jumps 4.5X
According to Entrackr's estimates, Theater's post-money valuation has reached around Rs 402 crore ($43 million), up approximately 4.5X from its previous valuation of Rs 90 crore.
Niveshaay was the largest investor in the round, contributing Rs 37 crore. FirstPort Capital invested Rs 12.81 crore, while Skagen Ventures added Rs 3.36 crore.
The latest round follows Theater's $1.5 million pre-Series A funding raised in September 2024, which was led by Prath Ventures.
Building a Digital-First Fashion Platform
Founded by Sarthak Aggarwal, Karan Jain, Vikram Jain and Shruti Agarwal, Theater is a digital-first fashion and lifestyle brand catering to both men and women.
Its portfolio spans footwear, bags, stockings, socks, perfumes and other fashion accessories.
Following the latest allotment, Eternal Emerging Enterprises Fund remains the company's largest institutional shareholder with a 9.71% stake, followed by Niveshaay at 9.20% and FirstPort Capital at 3.19%.
Among the founders, Sarthak Aggarwal holds 20.63%, while Karan Jain and Vikram Jain each hold 16.39%. Shruti Aggarwal owns 12.16%.
Revenue Growth Drives Investor Confidence
The latest valuation increase comes after strong revenue growth over the past two fiscal years.
Theater's revenue grew 2.37X to Rs 33.35 crore in FY25. The company has yet to file its FY26 financial results, making its upcoming performance an important indicator of whether it has been able to sustain its growth trajectory.
The latest funding gives Theater additional capital to expand operations while strengthening its financial position.
For Niveshaay, the investment also reinforces its growing focus on India's D2C consumer ecosystem. The firm has backed brands including Mokobara and XYXX, alongside earlier investments in Naturis Cosmetics and Innovist.
With its valuation climbing from Rs 90 crore to around Rs 402 crore, Theater is entering its next phase with significantly higher investor expectations and a broader ambition to establish itself as a major digital-first fashion and lifestyle brand.
