Deep-tech cybersecurity company QNu Labs has raised Rs 200 crore in a Series A1 funding round co-led by the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and Speciale Invest, as the Bengaluru-based startup accelerates the development and deployment of quantum-safe cybersecurity technologies.

The round also saw participation from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital and Artha Ventures. With the latest financing, QNu Labs' total capital raised has reached Rs 375 crore.

Scaling Quantum-Safe Cybersecurity

Founded in 2016 by Srinivasa Rao Aluri and Sunil Gupta, QNu Labs develops quantum-safe infrastructure and platform solutions designed to help organisations transition toward quantum-resistant security without disrupting their existing technology environments.

The company was incubated at IIT Madras and has developed solutions spanning technologies including Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG), Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and cryptographic key management.

Its products are designed for organisations that need to protect sensitive systems and critical infrastructure against emerging quantum-era cybersecurity threats.

Fresh Capital to Accelerate R&D and Global Expansion

QNu Labs plans to deploy the new capital toward accelerating research and development, strengthening its technology capabilities and scaling sales and go-to-market operations across India and international markets.

The company also plans to expand its technology stack into quantum sensing and AI while increasing deployments across critical sectors.

Another major focus will be quantum-safe migration, as organisations globally begin preparing their security infrastructure for the potential threat posed by increasingly powerful quantum computers.

Building India's Quantum Security Infrastructure

QNu Labs plans to contribute to an approved project under the RDI programme aimed at developing the technology backbone for India's Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks (IQSN).

The company also intends to expand its role in quantum-safe infrastructure while supporting the country's broader ambitions around quantum technology.

QNu Labs says its patented, certified and military-grade products are already deployed globally to secure critical infrastructure. The new funding will help expand these deployments and build capabilities for international demand.

India's Quantum Technology Ecosystem

QNu Labs' latest funding comes as India's quantum technology ecosystem continues to develop across cybersecurity, computing, communications and sensing.

The company previously raised Rs 60 crore in a Series A round led by the National Quantum Mission in April 2025, following a $6.5 million pre-Series A1 round led by Ashish Kacholia of Lucky Investments in December 2023.

Other Indian startups are also working across quantum technologies, including QpiAI, Dimira Technologies, PRENISHQ, QuPrayog, Quanastra and Quan2D Technologies.

With Rs 200 crore in fresh capital, QNu Labs is now looking to move beyond quantum-safe security development toward larger deployments across critical infrastructure and international markets.
