Natural Secures $30 Million to Modernize Payments for AI Agents
U.S.-based fintech startup Natural has raised $30 million in Series A funding to develop payment infrastructure designed specifically for AI agents. The round was led by Forerunner, bringing the company's total funding to $40 million.
Founded in 2025 by Kahlil Lalji, Eric Wang, and Walt Leung, Natural is building an agent orchestration layer that enables AI agents to move and store funds, make autonomous payments, collect payments, and transact with both humans and other AI agents.
Building Financial Infrastructure for Autonomous AI
Natural aims to address the limitations of traditional payment systems, which were designed for human-initiated transactions. Its infrastructure enables businesses to integrate autonomous payment capabilities into AI agents, reducing the need for manual authorization.
The company plans to support both traditional bank payments and stablecoins as it expands its platform.
Competing in the AI Payments Market
The new funding will accelerate product development and platform expansion as Natural competes with established payment providers and emerging startups building financial infrastructure for AI-powered commerce.
The company has also attracted talent from leading fintech firms, including Stripe, Ramp, and Square, as it works to build payment systems designed for the next generation of AI applications.
