Paris- and Cambridge-based healthtech company Implicity has raised €35 million in growth funding to expand its AI-powered cardiac monitoring platform, accelerate its presence in the United States and pursue potential acquisitions.

The round was led by IRIS, with Five Arrows, the alternative assets division of Rothschild & Co., also participating. The latest financing brings Implicity's total funding since 2016 to approximately $69 million.

Founded by cardiologist and entrepreneur Arnaud Rosier, Implicity is focused on helping healthcare providers manage the growing volume of data generated by connected cardiac devices.

Turning cardiac device data into clinical action

Rosier founded Implicity after seeing firsthand how pacemakers and implantable defibrillators were generating more alerts than hospital teams could efficiently handle.

The company combines data from five cardiac device manufacturers with information from hospital records to create a centralised cardiac monitoring platform.

Its technology is designed to reduce the administrative burden on clinical teams while helping physicians identify patients who may require intervention.

Implicity has developed two major AI products as part of this platform.

AI designed to predict cardiac risk

Its Signal HF product uses cardiac device data alongside clinical information to identify patients who may be at risk of hospitalisation.

The system has received regulatory clearance from the U.S. FDA, following an earlier 2022 clearance for another algorithm focused on ECG analysis.

Implicity has also developed what Rosier describes as "productivity AI", which is designed to reduce false alarms by analysing information such as medication history and clinical records alongside device alerts.

The objective is to help clinicians focus on alerts that are more likely to require action instead of spending valuable time reviewing unnecessary notifications.

Reported 26% reduction in mortality

One of the company's most significant reported outcomes is a 26% reduction in patient mortality associated with its AI-powered cardiac monitoring platform.

The result highlights the potential impact of combining remote monitoring with clinical and patient data, particularly as the number of connected cardiac devices continues to increase.

Implicity is competing with companies such as Murj and PaceMate in the U.S. market. According to Rosier, many competitors primarily help clinics manage and review device data, while Implicity differentiates itself by developing its own medical AI capabilities.

Expanding in the US and Germany

The new funding will support Implicity's international expansion, with the United States identified as a major growth market.

The company also plans to establish stronger commercial operations in Germany and explore acquisitions of smaller companies that could complement its technology and market presence.

Implicity currently employs approximately 120 to 125 people, including around 15 employees in the U.S. and four in Germany, with the remainder based in France.

The company deliberately structured the financing as a growth investment rather than a traditional private equity transaction, allowing the founders to avoid giving up a majority stake while gaining investors with experience scaling European businesses internationally.

A growing remote cardiac monitoring market

The global remote cardiac monitoring market was valued at approximately $4.1 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach around $12 billion by 2034.

As healthcare systems struggle with rising workloads and increasing volumes of patient-generated data, Implicity is positioning AI as a way to transform that information into actionable clinical insights.

The company's next phase will focus on proving that its technology can scale across the complex U.S. healthcare market while maintaining the regulatory credibility and clinical outcomes that have supported its growth in Europe.
