Mumbai-based B2B pharmaceutical distribution startup Fundly.ai has raised $4 million in equity funding led by existing investors Accel and Multiply Ventures, with participation from former RBL Bank executive director Rajeev Ahuja and other angel investors.

The company has also secured around $0.9 million in venture debt, taking the total capital raised through the latest financing to approximately $4.9 million.

Fundly.ai plans to deploy the fresh capital toward expanding its digital commerce, payments and credit offerings across India's pharmaceutical supply chain.

Building a Full-Stack Pharma Distribution Platform

Founded in 2021 by Amit Chawla and Shreeram Ramanathan, Fundly.ai initially began as a supply-chain financing platform serving pharmaceutical businesses.

The company has since expanded into three interconnected areas: B2B commerce, payments and settlement infrastructure, and embedded credit.

Its goal is to bring these functions together through a single technology platform, allowing pharma retailers and distributors to manage procurement, payments and working capital more efficiently.

By combining commerce and financial services, Fundly.ai is positioning itself as infrastructure for businesses operating across India's fragmented pharmaceutical distribution ecosystem.

Accel Doubles Down on Fundly.ai

The latest financing builds on Fundly.ai's $3 million seed round raised in 2023, which was also led by Accel with participation from Multiply Ventures and angel investors.

The continued backing from Accel and Multiply Ventures comes as Fundly.ai expands beyond financing into a broader technology-led commerce and financial services platform.

The company is now looking to deepen its presence across India's pharma distribution network and bring more retailers and distributors onto its platform.

Expanding Digital Commerce and Embedded Credit

Fundly.ai's latest capital will support the expansion of its digital commerce, payments and embedded credit products.

The platform is designed to help pharma businesses handle day-to-day procurement and settlement requirements while also accessing working capital through integrated financial services.

As pharmaceutical supply chains increasingly adopt digital tools, Fundly.ai is betting that a unified platform combining commerce, payments and credit can become a critical operating layer for retailers and distributors.

With $4.9 million in fresh capital across equity and debt, the startup is entering its next phase focused on expanding its technology, geographic reach and role within India's pharma distribution ecosystem.
