About the Role

Delhivery's freight network operates across thousands of vehicles, vendors, customers, and trips every day. Orion and our Fleet Management Systems sit at the center of this ecosystem—connecting demand creation, supply allocation, procurement, trip execution, tracking, documentation, and financial closure.

As Senior Product Manager for FMS, you will own products that make freight operations faster, more automated, and more efficient. You will work at the intersection of customers, operations, supply, engineering, data, and AI—simplifying complex workflows and progressively moving them from manual coordination to intelligent, system-driven execution.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys solving complicated operational problems and turning them into scalable products.

What You Will Do

• Own the roadmap, not just the backlog — Define product strategy and roadmap across freight and fleet workflows from demand/indent creation and supply-demand matching to trip execution, tracking, documentation, and closure. Define clear business and product KPIs and own outcomes.

• Automate operations using AI — Identify workflows currently dependent on calls, emails, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, or manual decision-making and redesign them using AI agents, workflow automation, and intelligent recommendations.

• Go deep into freight operations — Understand how customers raise demand, how supply teams source vehicles, how vendors bid and allocate capacity, and how trips are executed on ground. Spend time with operations, vendors, drivers, and customers to understand where systems diverge from reality.

• Drive measurable operational outcomes — Use data to identify bottlenecks and measure improvements in metrics such as turnaround time, automation/adoption, vehicle placement, tracking compliance, vendor performance, and operational productivity.

• Build for scale and reliability — Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to design systems that can handle complex workflows, integrations, real-time events, and large transaction volumes without creating operational fragility.

• Drive execution across teams — Work closely with engineering, operations, supply, business, finance, and external partners. Navigate competing priorities, make trade-offs, and take initiatives from problem discovery through rollout and adoption.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of product management experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, fleet management, marketplaces, B2B platforms, or a fast-paced internet company.

• Strong product fundamentals with demonstrated ability to take ambiguous operational problems, structure them, quantify their impact, and translate them into scalable products.

• Strong operational instinct—you are comfortable understanding workflows on the ground rather than designing products only from meeting rooms.

• Hands-on SQL and data skills—you should be comfortable pulling and analysing your own data, building funnels, identifying failure patterns, and using data to challenge assumptions.

• Practical fluency with modern AI tooling—LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG, and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar environments.

• Strong systems thinking. You can reason across workflows involving customers, vendors, vehicles, drivers, payments, documents, APIs, and multiple internal systems rather than optimizing one screen in isolation.

• Ability to influence across teams without relying on authority and to drive adoption after the product has shipped.

FMS is evolving from a system that records freight operations into a platform that can increasingly understand demand, recommend decisions, automate coordination, and manage execution.
