WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

Year one, you are in the truck: delivering, swapping, and pulling roll-off dumpsters and servicing portable restrooms across the Denver metro and Northern Colorado. Within 12 to 18 months, you are running field operations, and you are on the path to a salaried General Manager (GM) role.

We are an owner-operated redbox+ franchise, five years in, running a patented combination dumpster and portable restroom that nobody else in the market has. Small team, high standards, real growth. We are not looking for someone to drive a route. We are looking for the person who will eventually own the route, the schedule, the fleet, and the next driver we hire.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY NEED FROM YOU

Plenty of people can drive a truck. These six things are what we are hiring for:

• You think before you act. Critical thinking is the job. A customer's site does not match the order, the gate is locked, the container is overloaded. You size up the situation, figure out what is really going on, and pick the best move, not the first one.

• You solve problems instead of reporting them. When something breaks, stalls, or goes sideways, you troubleshoot it. You come back with "here is what happened and here is what I did," not "it didn't work."

• You make good calls on your own. Most of your day, nobody is standing next to you. You need to make sound decisions on the fly, own them, and know which ones warrant a phone call first.

• You are mechanically inclined. Hydraulic leaks, fluids, lights, tires, lug nuts, a cable that is starting to fray. You notice when something on the truck or the equipment is off, you can handle the basics yourself, and you know when it needs to go to the shop.

• You make sure the job is done right. The container sits where the customer needs it, square and off the landscaping. The restroom is actually clean. The paperwork is complete. You do not leave a job for somebody else to fix.

• You understand logistics and routing. Sequencing stops, working around delivery windows, resequencing the day when a swap goes long or a new order comes in, thinking about the next three stops and not just this one. Experience in dispatch, load planning, LTL (less than truckload), or last-mile delivery is a big plus.

REQUIREMENTS

• Class A or Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with airbrake endorsement

• Current DOT (Department of Transportation) medical card

• Clean driving record; must pass MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Clearinghouse query, and DOT drug screen

• Smartphone and comfort with dispatch and routing apps

• Physically able to do the work, including servicing portable restrooms (yes, really, and we respect the people who do it without complaint)

• Some experience leading others, formal or informal: crew lead, foreman, trainer, the person everyone asks

WHAT WE PAY

• $34 to $38 per hour to start, based on experience

• 40 to 45 hour weeks, overtime paid

• Company truck; you go home every night

THE GM STEP IS A REAL RAISE

When you move into the General Manager seat, you move to a salary plus profit sharing, with total compensation built to reach six figures. Profit sharing means that when the operation you are running does well, you do well. We are not asking you to take on more responsibility for the same money.

We are paying above the going rate on purpose. We want the right person, and we want them to stay.

SCHEDULE

• Monday through Friday, roughly 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Occasional Saturdays during peak season (spring and summer)

• In person, field based, out of our Brighton yard
