Summary
This one-year Future Leaders Graduate Program in Business Analytics at Picnic is designed for ambitious graduates to tackle complex, real-world challenges at the intersection of data, strategy, and technology. Participants will own business-critical projects from day one, developing leadership and technical skills in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Program Overview Are you an ambitious graduate ready to tackle complex, real-world challenges at the intersection of data, strategy, and tech? The Future Leaders Graduate Program – Business Analytics at Picnic is a one-year launchpad for exceptional talent. At Picnic, we are building the world's smartest, most customer-focused supermarket using cutting-edge technology and data-driven innovation. From day one, you will join a business team, own a business-critical topic, and turn bold ideas into tangible impact.
What You Will Do (Tricks of the Trade)
Lead with ambition: Take the driver's seat to redefine the grocery shopping experience for millions. Think independently, move fast, and deliver results.
Steep learning curve: Blend hands-on training with immediate execution by owning real problems, testing ideas, and learning quickly.
Solve real-life puzzles: Spot opportunities, use forefront technology, and build end-to-end solutions yourself rather than just making slides.
Innovate across borders: Collaborate with high-performing analytics and tech teams across the Netherlands, Germany, and France at a European scale.
From Learning to Leading Throughout this one-year program, you will own projects from start to finish, supported by mentorship, learning sessions, and regular feedback. You will strengthen leadership skills in project management, storytelling, stakeholder communication, and feedback, while sharpening technical skills in Python, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint. Rather than rotating across teams, you will build deep expertise in one domain and expand your scope and responsibility as your impact grows.
Where You Will Make an Impact From day one, you will be embedded in one of the following domains:
Consumer: Drive growth through pricing, supplier strategy, and market strategy, such as shaping market entry into new cities.
Logistics: Build the operational backbone, including robotic fulfillment, demand forecasting, and route optimization across Europe.
Qualifications (Your Superpowers)
Upcoming or recent Master's graduate, ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, econometrics, engineering). Non-quantitative Master's degrees are considered if backed by strong data-driven project ownership and relevant work experience.
Experience in high-performance environments such as consulting, fast-growth startups, or competitive internships.
Entrepreneurial, hands-on builder mindset with a track record of initiating projects and challenging the status quo without waiting for permission.
Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, or alternative coding languages.
EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit is required.
Why Picnic and Perks
Career Growth and Compensation: Competitive salary, pension plan, 30 holidays, and a fast-track entry point into a long-term vertical or lateral career at Picnic.
Learning and Wellbeing: Mentorship from Picnic leaders, Lepaya soft-skills training, Picnic Tech Academy, German language classes, and free access to psychologists via OpenUp.
Relocation and Commute: Covered flight costs and first month's accommodation for international relocations, plus covered travel expenses, a subsidized Deutschlandticket, and a Lease-a-Bike option.
Office Culture and Equipment: Company laptop and phone, daily fresh warm lunches, snacks, full coffee bars, and team events including Friday drinks, parties, and an annual ski trip.
Application Details Apply in English and include your CV, Master's degree transcript, and any relevant test scores (e.g., GMAT). Topic preferences can be shared during the interview process.
