The intern will also liaise with various internal departments and clients for day-to-day operations, compliance, and credit quality monitoring.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support RMs and Associate RMs in their internal and client deliverables.

  • Ensure completion of activities contributing to day to day work by RMs and Associate RMs.

  • Ensure implementation of all audit and regulatory recommendations.

  • Ensure top notch Housekeeping of clients wrt to timely internal regulatory closures.

  • Liaise with various internal departments (BCO, GRBs, Risk, credit operations, Global Payments solutions, Global Trade Solutions) and ensure efficient servicing of corporate customers.

  • Ensure timely compliance with all regulatory/internal compliances, legal, financial crime compliance requirements for the portfolio. Co-ordinate with various stakeholders for ensuring account operations, opening and KYC remediation’s are completed on time.

  • Collation of various MIS as per requirement from time to time.

  • Co-ordinate with clients for financial information, security documentation, and for any other day to day operations related matters.

  • Monitor the credit quality of the portfolio and take timely remedial measures as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Graduation (i.e. a Bachelor’s degree holder of an UGC recognised university or should have completed 10+2+3 years of education (not diploma).

  • Candidate must possess mark sheets and provisional / actual certificate of passing.

  • 0 to 5 years from the date of passing Graduation (candidate should be of less than 5 years from date of passing Graduation).

  • Candidates who are continuing with higher studies viz. MBA / PG / CA articleship or have freshly completed MBA / PG / CA, will be considered eligible for being engaged as Apprentice provided the 5-year Graduation criteria is met.

  • Candidate should not have already done any Govt. regulated Apprenticeship before.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines

Additional Information The tenure of the Apprentice will be 1 (one) year as defined under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992 amended from time to time. All Apprentices engaged by the Bank will also be featured in NATS portal as an ‘Apprentice’. By virtue of them being covered under the provisions of the Act, a candidate profile will be created for each apprentice in the NATS portal, which will be available to them for viewing. On completion of the one-year Apprenticeship tenure, a Certificate of Proficiency will be issued to the apprentice by the Govt. of India, as applicable under the Act and the enrollment under the Apprenticeship Act will cease. All other clauses regarding the tenure of engagement as an Apprentice with HSBC will stand as mentioned in the offer letter issued by the Bank at the time of joining.

Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
