Summary and responsibilities

Role overview

Summary

As a Closing Coordinator at Casa Lending, you will ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient loan funding process. This involves verifying documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies. You will also maintain strong relationships with title companies, closing attorneys, and internal partners to facilitate timely and accurate fund disbursements.

Casa Lending is a leading lender helping professional real estate investors scale their businesses through flexible hard money and long-term financing solutions. We serve fix and flip investors, new construction professionals, portfolio investors, and long-term rental owners with capital designed to support their growth.

As a Closing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a smooth, accurate, and efficient loan funding process. You will verify loan documentation, coordinate with title companies, closing attorneys, borrowers, Treasury, and internal teams, ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and help ensure loan proceeds are released accurately and on time.

You will be responsible for reviewing loan files for accuracy and completeness, including title reports, insurance, and other required documentation, identifying outstanding conditions, and communicating requirements to the appropriate parties before funding. You will prepare closing documents, coordinate with third parties to balance settlement statements, and oversee the timely delivery of closing documents to minimize delays.

You will thoroughly review executed loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation before authorizing the release of funds. You will work closely with the Treasury team to confirm the source of funds and request funding once all conditions have been satisfied. You will ensure loan proceeds are disbursed accurately and promptly to escrow companies, borrowers, and other authorized parties.

The role also requires acting as a key liaison between Casa Lending, title companies, closing attorneys, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and keep transactions moving. You will identify potential funding issues, escalate matters when appropriate, and maintain accurate internal records, reports, and documentation related to loan funding activities.

You will maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient loan origination, funding, and post-closing activities. You will also track and analyze KPIs related to post-closing and lock desk functions, identify opportunities to improve turnaround times and borrower experience, and contribute to the development and improvement of funding and post-closing procedures.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field and 0–2 years of experience in mortgage funding, loan processing, post-closing, lock desk management, capital markets, real estate finance, or a similar field. Experience with mortgage documentation, DSCR loans, or closing procedures is helpful, but a willingness to learn is essential.

The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency with mortgage software and Microsoft Office, and the ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies or risks. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills are important, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, regulatory awareness, adaptability, and a proactive approach to process improvement. As part of a growing division, you will have the opportunity to help develop efficient processes and contribute to the continued success of Casa Lending.

Casa Lending offers an innovative and flexible work environment, competitive compensation, health insurance with 100% of medical premiums paid by the company, PPO and HSA plan options, annual HSA contributions for eligible employees, three weeks of paid time off, and ten paid holidays. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a nationwide operation supporting builders, developers, and real estate investors across the United States.
