About the Company:

Sagan represents a commercial real estate–focused organization managing a diverse property portfolio. The company works closely with ownership, portfolio managers, and external stakeholders to optimize lease performance, mitigate risk, and drive strong tenant outcomes.

Position Overview:

Senior Commercial Leasing Specialist / Commercial Leasing Manager is a high-impact role for an experienced commercial leasing professional ready to take ownership of the leasing function. You will lead the end-to-end lease lifecycle from LOI through execution while serving as the internal expert on lease strategy, negotiation, and compliance.

You’ll play a key role in guiding Portfolio Managers, influencing decisions, and communicating directly with ownership. This position is ideal for someone who brings both technical expertise and the confidence to lead conversations, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity in complex leasing scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full commercial leasing process from LOI through lease execution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

  • Review, redline, and negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs) to protect company and ownership interests.

  • Oversee the preparation, execution, and management of lease documents, amendments, assignments, and tenant notices.

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on lease interpretation, advising Portfolio Managers on complex terms and obligations.

  • Lead tenant renewal discussions and negotiations, ensuring favorable outcomes and risk mitigation.

  • Maintain accurate lease data, abstracts, and critical dates within systems such as Yardi.

  • Manage and track lease documentation, execution status, key milestones, and billing activity across the portfolio.

  • Coordinate lease-related billing and ensure financial accuracy in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Provide reporting and insights to leadership and ownership on lease activity and portfolio performance.

  • Communicate directly with ownership and external stakeholders regarding lease strategy, risks, and execution.

  • Support and mentor team members, setting standards for quality, consistency, and accountability within the leasing function.

What Success Looks Like:

  • You confidently push back when something doesn’t look right, whether in a lease, a deal term, or a decision.

  • You’re comfortable navigating tough negotiations and holding the line when it matters.

  • You naturally identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within complex lease documents.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently with ownership and senior stakeholders.

  • You’re a go-to resource for your team, providing clarity, guidance, and strong judgment.

  • You take pride in bringing structure and resolution to complex leasing situations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lease administration or commercial property management.

  • Strong expertise in reviewing, redlining, and negotiating leases and LOIs.

  • Deep understanding of commercial lease structures, including NNN, gross, and modified gross leases.

  • Proven ability to manage the full lease lifecycle independently.

  • Experience working with ownership, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Hands-on experience with lease management systems (Yardi preferred).

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

  • Confidence in leading conversations, providing guidance, and pushing back when necessary.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with CAM reconciliations and operating expense audits.

  • Familiarity with DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms.

  • Experience supporting or mentoring team members in a leasing or property management environment.

  • Exposure to portfolio-level reporting or leasing strategy.
