The Operations Associate will support the First Citizen India Reconciliation team, focusing on reconciling bank-wide Cash/Bank, Loan, Deposit, Cash, Cards, and FX accounts. Key responsibilities include analyzing reconciliation activities, investigating exceptions, and ensuring compliance with operational controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Deliverables

  • Analyze reconciliation activities for assigned complex accounts, identifying and investigating exceptions and variances across systems.

  • Execute day-to-day operational responsibilities while supporting overall team objectives, priorities, and deliverables.

  • Monitor operational queues and assist in the timely resolution of routine exceptions, inquiries, and processing issues.

  • Utilize analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and support process improvements.

  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with established procedures, operational controls, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of operational tasks.

  • Escalate issues, discrepancies, control gaps, or potential risks to management in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualification

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Strong understanding of financial services and operational processes, with the ability to apply knowledge in a business environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate, and error-free work.

  • Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to collaborate within a team environment and coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, exercising sound judgment, initiative, and accountability with minimal supervision.

  • Recent graduates with a strong learning mindset and an interest in building a career in banking and financial operations are encouraged to apply.
