Product Manager

ProTrustee is seeking a product manager to own the product from customer need through release—turning trust officer workflows, customer feedback, and regulatory reality into a roadmap the team can ship. We prefer candidates who can work a hybrid schedule from our Mount Pleasant office; remote opportunities will be considered for exceptional candidates.

We’re building modern software for trust administration—helping trust officers manage compliance, operations, and accounting with practical, AI-powered features. The work sits at the intersection of fiduciary responsibility, complex data, and day-to-day usability. We’re a collaborative, fast-moving, hands-on team with high autonomy and room to grow.

You’ll work closely with leadership on which ideas to pursue, then own the product work with engineering and customer success. This is an individual contributor role: you will work directly with colleagues and customers, without a formal product organization, and you will be responsible for shaping how we decide what to build as we grow.

Responsibilities and expectations

• Own the roadmap: turn a shared pipeline of ideas into a sequenced plan across trust administration, accounting, compliance, operations, and AI, and make the tradeoffs explicit

• Meet with customers: spend time with trust officers and administrators to understand how the work gets done

• Define the problem: turn discovery into scoped problems and acceptance criteria that engineering can build against

• Prioritize with evidence: balance customer requests, retention risk, regulatory need, and product bets, including where AI improves the workflow

• Partner with customer success: ensure implementations and support inform the roadmap, and that launches include the rollout customers need

• Assess results after release: define what success looks like for a release, monitor adoption after launch, and adjust

• Lead planning: run regular grooming and pre-grooming meetings so engineering, customer success, and leadership can align on upcoming work and provide input

Required

• 2–6 years of product management experience shipping B2B software (fintech, financial services, or a comparable domain preferred)

• A track record of owning a roadmap and making clear tradeoffs

• Comfortable speaking with domain experts and translating fiduciary or accounting workflows into product decisions

• Strong written communication: clear problem statements, specs, and explanations customers and engineers can both use

• Able to operate without a formal product management organization or a dedicated research or design team

Nice to have

• Experience with trust administration, wealth management, fiduciary accounting, or banking operations

• Experience shipping practical AI features inside an existing workflow

• Familiarity with early-stage SaaS, including implementations, a small customer success team, and direct customer access

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
