Summary

This role involves owning the end-to-end growth function, running experiments across various channels like SEO, email, and WhatsApp, and building and optimizing Martech stacks. The ideal candidate will identify conversion leaks, work closely with cross-functional teams, and leverage data to drive decisions and significant metric growth.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

SaffronStays is building a growth function from the ground up. This isn't a campaign management role - it's an ownership role. You'll identify levers, build experiments, execute them, and move fast. You could come from engineering, product, or marketing. What matters is that you've made a number go up and you can prove it was mostly you.


WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Run end-to-end growth experiments — hypothesis, build, ship, measure, kill or scale.

  • Own funnels across SEO, email, WhatsApp, referral, and whatever new channel looks interesting.

  • Build and break Martech stacks — CRMs, automation tools, analytics pipelines.

  • Identify and close conversion leaks at every stage of the funnel.

  • Work directly with engineering, design, and founders — no layers, no bureaucracy.

  • Write copy that converts — ad hooks, landing pages, emails, WhatsApp messages, push notifications. Words are part of your toolkit, not someone else's job.

  • Turn data into decisions and gut into experiments — and know which is which.


YOU'LL FIT IN IF...

  • You've worked in or a fast-moving consumer startup and actually loved the chaos.

  • You can write a SQL query and a retention email in the same afternoon — and both are good.

  • You've set up a Martech tool from scratch — not just used what was already there.

  • You have a story about something you shipped that grew a metric significantly — and it was mostly you who built it.

  • You think in loops: acquisition → activation → retention → referral → revenue.

  • You have a creative streak — you notice good copy, you have opinions about bad copy, and you can produce both fast when needed.

  • You can explain growth strategy to a CFO and a product manager without two different decks.


THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF...

  • You need a detailed playbook before starting anything.

  • You count execution as 'I briefed the agency.'

  • A 3-month runway to ship something sounds reasonable.

  • You've never touched Martech tools yourself.

  • Writing is not your thing — "we have a copywriter for that" is something you'd say.
