Naturalist

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Naturalist to deliver engaging and educational nature-based experiences for our guests. The role is responsible for conducting guided outdoor activities, interpreting local ecology and wildlife, and enhancing the overall guest experience through immersive environmental interactions. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy hospitality, conservation, and guest engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement & Experiences

• Conduct guided nature walks, birdwatching tours, and ecology trails.

• Deliver interactive interpretation sessions on local flora, fauna, and ecosystems.

• Design customized nature experiences based on guest interests.

• Lead family and children-focused environmental activities.

• Create memorable experiential learning moments for guests.

Activity Planning & Execution

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly nature-based programs.

• Organize eco-talks, awareness sessions, and presentations.

• Conduct seasonal and special-interest activities (optional - night walks, stargazing, etc.).

• Support special eco-events and guest engagement programs.

Sustainability & Conservation Support

• Promote responsible tourism and eco-friendly practices.

• Support the property’s sustainability initiatives.

• Maintain wildlife sighting logs and nature records.

• Contribute to conservation awareness among guests and staff.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure guest safety during all outdoor activities.

• Follow emergency and risk management protocols.

• Carry and maintain first-aid readiness during excursions.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Front Office / Concierge for guest bookings.

• Work with Sales & Marketing teams for experience promotion.

• Maintain activity records and guest feedback reports.

• Provide nature-related content for guest communications when required.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science / Forestry / Wildlife Biology / Zoology / Ecology or related field.

Experience Required

• 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Naturalist, Wildlife Guide, or Eco-Guide.

• Experience in resorts, eco-tourism properties, wildlife lodges, or parks preferred.

• Hospitality exposure will be an added advantage.
