Multiverse Computing Secures $570 Million in Series C Funding
San Sebastián-based AI company Multiverse Computing has raised $570 million (€500 million) in Series C funding at a $1.7 billion (€1.5 billion) valuation.
The round was led by Forgepoint Capital International, BNPP Solar Impulse Venture Fund (BNPP SIVF), and Bullhound Capital, with participation from Santander Alternative Investments, Tikehau Capital, HP Inc., Orange Ventures, Scania Invest, NAventures, Qatar Development Bank, Zouk Capital, SETT, EIC Fund, Hazten Scale-Up Fund, and Kutxa Fundazioa.
The latest investment brings the company's total funding to $800 million.
Led by CEO Enrique Lizaso and Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Román Orús, Multiverse Computing develops AI model compression and optimization technologies designed to make large language models more efficient.
Advancing Efficient and Sovereign AI
Multiverse Computing's platform includes CompactifAI, a model compression technology that uses tensor networks to reduce the size of large language models by 80% to 95%, enabling lower computing costs and more efficient deployment.
The company also offers CompactifAI Router, a workload orchestration platform that intelligently distributes AI tasks across cloud, on-premises, and on-device environments.
Its technologies are designed to support sovereign AI initiatives while improving AI performance across enterprise deployments.
The company serves customers in sectors including aerospace, defense, energy, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing, with clients including Allianz, Bank of Canada, Bosch, Iberdrola, Indra, PwC, and Telefónica.
Supporting Global Expansion
The newly raised funding will be used to expand Multiverse Computing's AI model library, invest strategically in sovereign AI gigafactory infrastructure, and establish regional operations across East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Canada, and the United States.
The investment will also support broader adoption of efficient AI technologies across global enterprise markets.
