London-based gaming analytics company Kohort has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round led by The Raine Group. The investor had also participated in the company’s earlier seed funding round.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand the development of its AI-powered agent suite for gaming studios and consumer businesses.
Founded to support decision-making in user acquisition and campaign performance, Kohort provides a machine learning-based predictive analytics platform. The platform is designed to help studios improve marketing efficiency and forecasting across mobile gaming campaigns.
Its product suite currently focuses on three key areas.
Campaign Optimization
Kohort is expanding its flagship platform, Ktrl, which helps gaming studios manage bidding strategies across advertising campaigns. The tool supports multiple campaign models, including ROAS, CPI, and CPA/CPE campaigns.
In addition, the platform integrates directly with advertising networks to improve campaign performance and optimize return on ad spend.
Research and Data Insights
The company also offers research tools that allow studios to analyze user acquisition trends. These insights are benchmarked against historical campaign data and annual spending activity processed through Kohort’s platform.
According to the company, more than $1 billion in annual ad spend flows through its system.
Automated Reporting Tools
Kohort’s reporting system automatically generates reports and presentation decks for different business teams. As a result, departments including leadership, product, live operations, and user acquisition can access a centralized data source for campaign tracking and analysis.
The company is led by CEO Dan Marcus.
