STORE MANAGER / RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Kings Cigar Club is opening our new brick-and-mortar premium cigar shop in Washington, and we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Store Manager / Retail Operations Manager to help lead the next chapter of KCC.

This is more than a traditional retail position. We are looking for someone who can lead a team, create an exceptional customer experience, maintain a premium retail environment, and take ownership of day-to-day store operations.

Position

Part-Time | Minimum 30 Hours/Week
$28–$32/hour, depending on experience
Performance-based quarterly bonus

Responsibilities

Team Management & Training

• Train and coach retail associates.

• Establish and maintain KCC customer service standards.

• Manage daily staff assignments and store operations.

• Train employees on product knowledge, POS, checkout, and store procedures.

• Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching.

Customer Experience

• Create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional customer experience.

• Help customers discover cigars based on their preferences and experience level.

• Handle customer questions and general service issues.

• Build long-term relationships with customers.

Store & Floor Management

• Maintain a clean, organized, premium retail environment.

• Ensure cigars, displays, pricing, and signage are properly presented.

• Monitor humidor presentation and product replenishment.

• Complete daily opening and closing procedures.

Inventory Management

• Receive and verify incoming cigar shipments.

• Enter products and inventory accurately into our system.

• Perform regular inventory counts.

• Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory.

• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and low-stock items.

Sales & Operations

• Monitor daily store performance.

• Prepare weekly store reports.

• Identify best-selling and slow-moving products.

• Help maintain appropriate product levels.

• Follow KCC policies regarding discounts, refunds, and inventory adjustments.

Product Knowledge

• Develop strong knowledge of premium cigar brands and products.

• Learn and train staff on KCC Exclusive releases and collaborations.

• Stay current on new releases and products carried by KCC.

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail, hospitality, luxury retail, or management experience preferred.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Comfortable leading and training a team.

• Reliable and trustworthy.

• Able to work independently.

• Comfortable using POS and inventory systems.

• Passion for premium cigars is a strong plus.

• Cigar industry experience is preferred but not required.
