Balloon Bar is a Scottsdale-based balloon store specializing in beautiful, high-quality balloon arrangements, grab-and-go balloons, deliveries, and event installations.

We're a growing small business, and we're looking for a hands-on, highly organized, proactive Store Manager / Operations Manager to help us run the day-to-day business and keep everything moving smoothly.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk management position. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being in the middle of the action—working with customers, managing a team, coordinating orders, solving problems, keeping the store organized, and making sure things get done correctly and on time.

What You'll Do

Store Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Balloon Bar retail store

• Make sure the store is clean, organized, fully stocked, and looking its best

• Ensure daily tasks and priorities are completed accurately and on time

• Help create and maintain efficient systems and processes

• Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs

• Make sure customer orders are prepared accurately and ready when promised

Team Management

• Manage, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable

• Create and manage employee schedules

• Delegate tasks and make sure work is completed properly

• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching

• Help build a positive, productive team culture

• Step in and help wherever needed during busy periods

Customer Experience

• Provide an exceptional customer experience in-store and over the phone

• Handle customer questions, concerns, and issues professionally

• Help customers select balloons and arrangements that fit their needs and budget

• Make sure every order meets Balloon Bar's quality standards

Orders, Deliveries & Events

• Coordinate daily balloon orders, pickups, deliveries, and installations

• Keep track of multiple orders and deadlines at the same time

• Communicate with customers and team members regarding order details

• Double-check orders for accuracy before they leave the store

• Help troubleshoot last-minute changes or issues

General

• Be the person who knows what needs to happen and makes sure it happens

• Identify problems before they become bigger problems

• Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do

• Jump in wherever needed—including helping create balloons and arrangements

• Communicate regularly with the owner regarding store operations, staffing, sales, and issues

• Help the business continue to grow and improve

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is a "figure it out" person.

If you see something that needs to be done, you do it.

If something isn't working, you find a solution.

If the store gets crazy busy, you stay calm and figure out what needs to happen next.

• 2+ years of retail, hospitality, customer service, operations, or management experience preferred

• Previous experience managing employees preferred

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Comfortable using POS systems, computers, email, and basic business software

• Must be comfortable working on your feet and helping with physical store tasks

• Balloon/event experience is a plus, but not required

• Must be available to work a flexible retail schedule, including some weekends

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
