Summary
This role involves leading DTDC's product and strategy, overseeing the entire product portfolio, customer solutioning, and long-term strategic initiatives. The General Manager will drive product transformation, new product development, and optimize customer journeys, operating at the intersection of product, pricing, operations, marketing, and customer experience.
About the Role
DTDC is seeking a strategic, customer-first, and execution-driven leader to head Product & Strategy. This role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of product portfolio, customer solutioning, and long-term strategic initiatives.
The role will operate at the intersection of Product, Pricing, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Experience, ensuring that DTDCs offerings are competitive, scalable, and aligned to evolving customer needs.
Core Responsibilities
Product Portfolio Strategy & Rationalization
Define and drive the enterprise-wide product portfolio strategy across Express, Surface, Air, International, Reverse, and value-added services
Lead product simplification and structuring initiatives to reduce complexity and improve customer adoption
Conduct competitive benchmarking and continuously refine offerings to maintain market relevance
Drive product transformation programs aligned to business growth and profitability goals
Product Ownership & Management | New Product Development
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of all productsfrom ideation to launch and scale
Lead new product development (NPD) initiatives based on market gaps and customer needs
Ensure alignment of product constructs with pricing frameworks and commercial strategies
Partner with Operations to define and institutionalize product SOPs and execution frameworks
Customer Solutions & Value Solutioning
Lead enterprise-level customer solutioning for strategic and large accounts
Design value-added solutions, customize SLAs, and integrate logistics offerings
Drive digital solutioning, including APIs, dashboards, and platform integrations
Translate customer requirements into structured, scalable product offerings
Product & Customer Journey Mapping
Map and continuously optimize end-to-end customer journeys across physical and digital touchpoints
Identify friction points and drive experience-led product enhancements
Ensure seamless integration between product design, service delivery, and customer experience
Strategic Business Cases (Mid to Long Term)
Develop mid-to-long-term strategic business cases for new products, market entry, and capability expansion
Build ROI-driven frameworks for evaluating product investments and network changes
Support leadership in strategic decision-making through data-backed insights
Market & Customer Research
Lead market research and customer insights programs, including engagement with external research agencies
Drive market segmentation, sizing, and share analysis
Build deep understanding of customer behavior, industry trends, and emerging opportunities
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Establish a robust market and competitive intelligence framework
Continuously track market and competition to identify gaps and opportunities
Provide actionable strategic insights to leadership on market shifts, pricing trends, and product innovation
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Build and lead a high-performing product and solution strategy team
Drive a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and execution excellence
Mentor teams to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Collaborate with marketing, operations, technology, sales and other teams
Candidate Experience
12-18+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or solutioning within logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce
Proven experience with organizations in Express Industry
Demonstrated track record of leading product portfolios and driving transformation initiatives
Core Competencies
Strong strategic thinking with execution excellence
Deep understanding of logistics products, pricing, and network design
Expertise in customer solutioning and value-based selling
High analytical rigor and data-driven decision-making
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Consulting experience
Education
MBA from a premier institute preferred
