Summary

As a Risk Consultant in Aviva's GCS Real Estate team, you will lead and deliver market-leading risk management programs, challenging traditional approaches to insurer-led Risk Engineering. You will partner with customers, brokers, underwriters, and claims teams to design and implement risk engineering programs, surveys, and engagements focused on loss prevention and risk mitigation.

A bit about the job

As part of Aviva's GCS Real Estate team, our Risk Consultants play a key role in helping customers achieve better risk outcomes. You'll work closely with customers, brokers, underwriters and claims teams to design and deliver risk engineering programmes, surveys and engagements that make a meaningful difference.


Whether through surveys, improvement projects, training or working with our specialist partner network, your focus will be on helping customers prevent loss and reduce or mitigate risk. You'll be part of a supportive Risk Engineering team, where you'll take ownership of your accounts and contribute to strong, consistent outcomes. This will involve coordinating with colleagues, sharing expertise and ensuring a pragmatic, high-quality approach is always maintained. This is a home-based role which involves travel across the UK, with occasional travel within Europe.


Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Knowledge of current risk management and loss prevention practices for Property Protection

  • Experience across a range of occupancies, including manufacturing and warehouse/distribution

  • Understanding of Fire Protection solutions and relevant codes for design, installation and maintenance (e.g. NFPA, EN, LPC, FM)

  • Ability to analyse complex information and identify key insights

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a way that supports and influences action
