We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor who can lead our production team, maintain consistent quality, and help improve how we work as our business grows.

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production activities, ensuring orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role requires an organized leader who sets clear expectations, trains employees, holds the team accountable, and works alongside production staff when needed.

The ideal candidate brings manufacturing leadership experience and a practical approach to improving productivity, reducing waste, and maintaining food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations, including dough preparation, forming, topping, packaging, and related activities.

• Assign employees to workstations and coordinate staffing, workflow, and production priorities.

• Monitor output against the daily schedule and address delays, bottlenecks, and quality concerns.

• Ensure products meet specifications for weight, appearance, packaging, labeling, and case counts.

• Enforce food safety, sanitation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and workplace safety requirements.

• Verify completion of required production records, quality checks, and sanitation documentation.

• Train and coach employees on standard procedures, equipment operation, quality expectations, and safe work practices.

• Address performance concerns promptly and consistently, in coordination with management.

• Coordinate with management, office staff, and maintenance to communicate production needs, material shortages, and equipment issues.

• Ensure equipment is inspected before use and problems are reported promptly.

• Reduce ingredient waste, rework, downtime, and unnecessary movement while maintaining product quality.

• Support the development and improvement of standard operating procedures.

• Promote workplace organization through 5S practices and encourage employee participation in continuous improvement.

• Maintain a clean, organized production area and ensure proper shift completion and handoff.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with experience leading or supervising employees.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage changing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to read and follow production schedules, product specifications, and written procedures.

• Comfortable tracking production results and completing accurate records.

• Willingness to work alongside the team and lead by example.

Desired Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience, preferably in bakery, dough, pizza, or frozen food production.

• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.

• Experience improving workflow, reducing waste, and increasing production efficiency.

• Familiarity with food safety programs, GMPs, HACCP, and USDA or FDA manufacturing requirements.

• Experience training employees and implementing standard work procedures.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position works on-site in a food manufacturing facility and requires standing and walking for extended periods, repetitive movement, and working around production equipment. The role may involve lifting and moving ingredients, trays, and packaged products.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule flexibility may be needed to meet production demands.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
