Key Responsibilities
- Define the long-term Charging Infra Platform Strategy across River-owned fast chargers, and partner/CPO networks via UBC
- Own the phased rollout roadmap, specifying scope per milestone (Pilot → Go-Live → Cross-Network)
- Conduct competitive benchmarking of charging hardware suppliers and CPO business models to maintain River's tech/economics moat
- Own and evolve the L0/PRD documentation suite (hardware, app, business) governing charging infra
- Drive end-to-end NPD lifecycle — Concept → Supplier Selection → Design → Prototype → Validation → Production → Launch — within Capex/cost targets
- Lead the Gated Development Process (Alpha/Beta/T0 reviews) across Hardware, Firmware, App/Cloud, Sourcing, Homologation, and Quality teams; validate for IP65, thermal, and durability standards
- Own the end-to-end rider charging journey in-app (discover, scan QR, start, monitor, pay, receipt) and define fault-handling, refund, and CRM support flows
- Lead CPO partner onboarding and commercial negotiations (margin/commission models); drive UBC certification for cross-network interoperability
- Own pricing/margin architecture — per-minute pricing, GST, payment gateway fees, DODO revenue-split, CPO commissions — centrally controlled and auditable
- Own daily reconciliation between charger and app session data; define mismatch thresholds and resolution SLAs with Finance/Ops
- Develop TCO/ROI models to justify Capex and communicate charging economics to leadership and dealers
- Manage cradle-to-grave lifecycle: network scale-up, OTA/firmware roadmap, regulatory tracking (homologation, PM E-Drive, UBC), serviceability, and next-gen hardware planning
Ideal Candidate
- Strong technical grounding in EV charging hardware (power electronics, connectors, IP65/safety standards) and CPO/charging-network business models
- Proven ability to own techno-commercial L0/PRD documentation spanning hardware, software, and business/finance requirements
- Financial acumen — pricing, margin/commission structuring, P&L, Capex/ROI, and TCO modeling
- Strong analytical skills using telemetry, reconciliation, and usage data to drive product/pricing decisions; proficiency in Excel/Sheets, Power BI, JIRA/Confluence
- 5–8 years in Product Management/Consulting (Automotive/Tech/Consumer Goods preferred), Engineering degree required, MBA preferred, with a track record of using consumer data to influence product launches
