Graduate / Student Electrical & Electronics Engineer – New Product Development R&D

About the Role

Kuotec is an innovative Perth-based company currently developing a new electric motor-driven product.

We are looking for a motivated Electrical / Electronics Engineering graduate, final-year university student, or suitably experienced individual to assist us with the research, development and testing of our new product.

This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys taking engineering concepts and turning them into practical, working solutions.

The position can be structured around university commitments and may particularly suit a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world product development and R&D experience.

What You’ll Be Working On

You will assist our product development team with:

• Selection, setup, testing and evaluation of DC motors and control systems

• Setting up motors, controllers and associated electronics for prototype testing

• Measuring and recording electrical and mechanical performance

• Troubleshooting motor/controller combinations

• Assisting with prototype development and practical R&D testing

• Documenting test procedures, results and recommendations

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have knowledge or practical experience in some of the following areas:

• Electrical or Electronic Engineering

• DC motors / BLDC motors

• Motor controllers and motor drives

• Setting up and configuring motor controllers

• Basic electronic circuits and component selection

• Electrical testing and measurement

• Prototype development and troubleshooting

Experience with BLDC motor control, ESCs, PWM control, Hall sensors, motor drivers or embedded control systems would be particularly useful.

Hours: Part-time / Casual – flexible and negotiable

Remuneration: Negotiable depending on experience
