Fashion Production & Operations Manager

Jalabiya, Mukhawar & Thob Business – Dubai

We are looking for an experienced Fashion Production & Operations Manager to help set up, organize and manage our Jalabiya, Mukhawar and Thob business.

This person will work closely with the owner and will be responsible for managing the complete process — from receiving customer orders and sourcing materials to coordinating tailors, monitoring production, quality control and final delivery.

Main Responsibilities

Customer & Order Management

• Receive and organize all customer orders.

• Record measurements, designs, fabrics, colors, embroidery and special requirements accurately.

• Follow up with customers regarding fittings, changes and delivery dates.

• Ensure every order is completed correctly and delivered on time.

• Handle customer concerns professionally.

Production Management

• Coordinate daily work between master tailor, cutters, tailors and other staff.

• Prepare the daily and weekly production schedule.

• Assign orders to the appropriate staff.

• Monitor each garment from cutting to stitching, embroidery, finishing and final fitting.

• Ensure urgent orders are prioritized appropriately.

• Maintain high-quality standards across all garments.

Fabric & Material Management

• Source and order fabrics, lining, lace, crystals, embroidery materials, buttons and other accessories.

• Build relationships with reliable suppliers.

• Negotiate prices and monitor material costs.

• Maintain fabric and accessories inventory.

• Ensure materials are available before production begins.

• Reduce unnecessary fabric waste and control stock.

Staff Management

• Supervise tailors and production staff.

• Monitor attendance, productivity and quality.

• Help recruit skilled tailors when required.

• Train staff on the company’s standards.

• Identify production problems and solve them quickly.

Quality Control

• Inspect garments before fittings and delivery.

• Check measurements, stitching, finishing, embroidery placement and overall appearance.

• Make sure alterations and corrections are completed properly.

• Maintain consistent quality across all orders.

Business Setup & Development

• Help the owner establish an efficient workflow for the business.

• Create an organized system for orders, measurements, production and deliveries.

• Help establish pricing and calculate garment production costs.

• Identify good fabric, embroidery and accessory suppliers.

• Help build and manage the initial team.

• Recommend ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.

• Help develop the business as order volume grows.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience managing a Jalabiya, Mukhawar, Abaya, Thob or ladies’ tailoring business.

• Strong knowledge of Emirati and Khaleeji fashion.

• Understands fabrics, tailoring, embroidery and garment production.

• Experience dealing with customers and taking custom orders.

• Strong supplier and purchasing experience.

• Able to manage tailors and production staff.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working directly with the business owner.

• Arabic and English are highly preferred.

• UAE/GCC fashion experience is strongly preferred.

Most Important

We are looking for someone who is hands-on.

This is not only an office management position. The person must be able to follow an order from the moment the customer chooses her design until the finished Jalabiya/Mukhawar/Thob is delivered.

They should also have the experience and initiative to help the owner set up the business, establish the production system, find suppliers, organize the team and grow the operation.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
