Summary

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the daily operations of the property, assisting with leasing, collections, resident services, and maintenance oversight. This role involves ensuring high property standards and providing top-notch service to residents and staff under the guidance of the Property Manager.

We are seeking a reliable, ambitious, and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property. Key Responsibilities:

Leasing, Collections & Resident Services:

  • Assist with delinquent accounts, collections, and eviction processes, including required documentation and court appearances when necessary.

  • Support apartment rentals, move-ins, resident insurance, lease renewals, and payment follow-ups.

  • Schedule appointments for prospects and residents.

  • Maintain accurate resident records, including leases, charges, credits, and account information.

  • Process security deposit refunds and maintain positive resident relationships.

  • Document resident correspondence and assist with rental eligibility verification.

  • Promote resident retention programs and address resident concerns promptly.

Management & Staff Support:

  • Support the Property Manager and assume management responsibilities when needed.

  • Assist with monthly reports related to renewals, rents, leasing, retention, and maintenance.

  • Support training and coaching of office staff.

  • Attend staff meetings and take meeting minutes when required.

  • Assist with processing payments and purchase orders.

  • Support property-related projects and ensure assigned work is completed.

Vendor & Lease Management:

  • Build and maintain positive vendor relationships.

  • Review and process vendor invoices and statements.

  • Assist with lease and renewal processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain renewal records and support marketing and leasing follow-up.

Compliance:

  • Follow all applicable federal and state Fair Housing Laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (A.S. or A.A.) from a two-year college or university, or 2-3 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous property management experience or management experience in sales/customer service.

  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and auto insurance may be required for travel between properties.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
