You Will be:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Associate – General Accounting (General Ledger) to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, leading month-end close activities, and supporting reporting and compliance requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Role Summary:
Lead and perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities including Cash & Bank entries, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, Intercompany and account reconciliations.
Oversee and support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Analyze financial data and variances, providing insights and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and FP&A to ensure consistent financial data.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0-1 years of progressive experience in general ledger or financial accounting roles.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).
High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in multinational or shared services environments.
Exposure to financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Power BI)
Responsibilities:
Understand business needs when data/case becomes complex during the month and right analysis of the same.
Ensure consistency in analyzing the real estate accounts, balances and its impact on reconciliation.
Ensure single source of truth in data.
Work collaboratively with other team members and On-Shore.
Simplify and automate processes to increase accuracy and reduce manual modes.
Work with other team members who are connected to the process to coordinate all process / transactional dots and strengthen the process understanding and process control.
Be a SME, to make sure there is proper control on the period activity which helps to understand all DR/CR balances.
