Role overview

Summary

This role involves analyzing and overseeing the maintenance and reconciliation of custodian portfolios for Private Equity, real estate, and securitisation funds. The analyst will ensure compliance with AIFMD regulations, manage client relationships, and provide expertise for complex requests.

Within CACEIS Bank, Luxembourg branch, you will join our Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions (PERES) department, which is responsible for offering a full range of services to Private Equity, real estate and securitisation funds, tailored to each investment strategy.


Your role will be to analyze and oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of our clients' custodian portfolios. You will also ensure compliance review and portfolio monitoring in accordance with applicable regulations (AIFMD).


You will be the client's main point of contact and will handle complex requests by contributing your expertise to the team.


More specifically, your main tasks will be as follows:


I) Analysis, monitoring, and reconciliation of PERES asset portfolios:

  • Analysis of the various movements in the portfolios, recording and validation in the Efront tool;

  • Upstream communication with the client in order to analyze ex ante the transactions, review the investment documentation and maintain the custodian portfolio;

  • Detailed analysis of the investment contracts of the Private Equity fund up to its final target for all types of strategies;

  • Identification of income flows from the targets and/or holdings;

  • Carrying out the annual circularization and reconciliation of the portfolios.


II) Controls related to the AIFMD:

  • First level control of investment restrictions;

  • Verification of cash flows to ensure they do not exceed certain thresholds.


III) Other activities

  • Customer relationship management in your area of ​​activity and in connection with the Client Relationship Managers;

  • Providing information and support to new team members;

  • Managing complex requests from clients and other stakeholders by proposing appropriate solutions;

  • Participation in the improvement of internal controls, tools and procedures.


Application criteria

Position with management responsibilities: No


Minimum education level: Master's degree (Bac + 5 / M2) and above


Training / Specialization: Master's degree in Economics/Finance, Risk or Law.


Proven experience: in custodian/middle office control or audit of alternative investment funds (Private Equity, real estate, infrastructure...).


Minimum experience level: 3-5 years


Skills required

  • Legal and financial knowledge of alternative funds and vehicles;

  • Ability to work in a team;

  • Organization and good management of priorities;

  • Good analytical skills to allow a good understanding of contracts and investment structures;

  • Initiative and taking responsibility.


Computer tools

Good command of office computer tools, primarily advanced Excel.


LANGUAGES

Fluent in English. Knowledge of another language is an asset.
