Summary
As a Research Associate in Biology & Assays at Bayer, you will design and conduct innovative experiments, develop and optimize new testing procedures, and meticulously document your scientific findings. You will work collaboratively with research assistants and scientists, contributing significantly to project decisions and safeguarding intellectual property.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You plan, analyze and conduct experiments, proactively define next steps and present results to a limited extent, preferably in English, in the field of cellular and biochemical assays in microtiter plate format.
You will be involved in the technical development and optimization of new testing procedures and methods.
You improve experimental procedures based on your biological background knowledge, vary crucial parameters, evaluate independently, and adapt them in consultation with RAs and scientists.
You independently and in a solution-oriented manner develop new methods and approaches.
You carry out laboratory tasks thoroughly and safely, and create assay analyses with readouts such as luminescence and fluorescence.
You coordinate complex in-house experiments.
You maintain comprehensive and very clear electronic lab notebooks, document materials, methods and experimental procedures, and summarize results in a structured manner.
You provide data sets with suitable keywords and parameters to ensure findability and present data in a way that is appropriate for the target audience in team, project and department meetings.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
You have completed vocational training as a biology laboratory technician or similar with initial professional experience.
You have experience in drug discovery with small molecules and ideally have already used miniaturized assays in 384-well format as well as laboratory automation technologies.
You have proven experience in the development of novel biochemical and cell-based assays and would like to apply your skills specifically to drug discovery.
An independent, structured work style and the ability to... are part of your profile.
A good understanding of different therapeutic modalities and immunological signaling pathways is advantageous.
You are proficient in using digital data analysis tools and communicate confidently in a scientific context.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
