Summary
The Director of Urban Projects will lead the development and execution of real estate investment projects, focusing on residential, office, and retail properties in the Czech Republic. This role involves overseeing all project phases from planning and design to construction and handover, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion while meeting sustainability standards.
Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Urban Projects to oversee the development and execution of investment projects in various asset classes including Offices, Residential, and Retail with an initial focus on the Czech Republic. The role will be based in Brno. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding the company's portfolio of residential and office spaces.
Responsibilities:
Lead urban construction projects in the Czech Republic
Oversee planning, design, permitting, and construction of residential, mixed-use, and office projects.
Manage due diligence on new locations, ensuring land is suitable for development.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality project completion on schedule and budget.
Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and resource plans; oversee budget preparation and procurement activities.
Ensure compliance with local codes and manage the tendering process, appointing subcontractors as needed.
Collaborate with the Head of ESG to meet sustainability standards and support energy initiatives for the business parks.
Report project updates to senior management and mitigate risks.
Oversee residential operations and lead the development team to identify new opportunities.
Ensure seamless handover to Property Management, with focus on sustainability and maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in construction project management, particularly in office and residential projects, is a plus.
Proven experience in delivering projects end-to-end without delays and over-budgeting.
Great value engineering skills.
Experience with General Contractors, developers, or consultancies is a plus.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication skills; Czech is a a must.
