Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor (Social Media) to help transform our field footage, research visuals, and storytelling content into compelling short-form videos. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys visual storytelling, understands social media trends, and wants to apply their editing skills to meaningful conservation work.
Key Responsibilities
Edit short-form videos for platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Create engaging, platform-optimized edits using provided footage, photos, and audio
Add captions, subtitles, music, and basic motion graphics as needed
Collaborate with the Pathos Wildlife team to align videos with ongoing projects and campaigns
Adapt content to social media trends while maintaining brand consistency
Organize and deliver edited content in a timely manner
Preferred Skills
Experience editing short-form video content (personal, academic, or professional)
Proficiency with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow
Familiarity with social media formats, aspect ratios, and trends
Interest in wildlife conservation, science, or environmental storytelling
