Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in wildlife biology or a related field
Experience in the field of wildlife biology
Proficiency with the use of computers and associated software programs
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations and best management practices related to wildlife and their habitats (preferred)
Responsibilities:
Collect data in the field related to wildlife biology, ecology, and field techniques.
Utilize computers and associated software programs to organize and analyze data.
Communicate research results to team members and supervisors.
Follow federal and state regulations and best management practices related to wildlife and their habitats.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.
Monitor wildlife populations and their habitats.
Document research activities and results.
Assist in the development of wildlife management plans.
Participate in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts.
Remain current on new developments and research in the field.
