Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in wildlife biology or a related field

  • Experience in the field of wildlife biology

  • Proficiency with the use of computers and associated software programs

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations and best management practices related to wildlife and their habitats (preferred)


Responsibilities:

  • Collect data in the field related to wildlife biology, ecology, and field techniques.

  • Utilize computers and associated software programs to organize and analyze data.

  • Communicate research results to team members and supervisors.

  • Follow federal and state regulations and best management practices related to wildlife and their habitats.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.

  • Monitor wildlife populations and their habitats.

  • Document research activities and results.

  • Assist in the development of wildlife management plans.

  • Participate in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and release efforts.

  • Remain current on new developments and research in the field.
