Role overview

Summary

The Ecologist will lead high-quality ecological projects and surveys across the East Midlands, working with clients to make a positive environmental impact. Responsibilities include conducting protected species surveys, inputting on strategic plans, and delivering diverse conservation-focused projects.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to join an established team and lead the delivery of high-quality projects and surveys.

EMEC is a growing business, with project delivery across the East Midlands and beyond. Projects range in scale from large national delivery to small scale surveys. There’ll be opportunities to work with clients that really want to make a positive impact, and you can deliver everything from PEA’s, protect species surveys to inputting on large scale strategic plans and developments.

In return, we ensure that our Ecologists have many opportunities to deliver a diverse range of projects, to gain experience and knowledge to develop your skills.

We want to do the very best for nature and ALL of our profits are gift-aided to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to support conservation directly on the ground. We also want to do the best for you. We prioritise your work home life balance by offering flexible working arrangements, and we commit to developing you professionally through our Personal Development programme.
