Summary
This role involves accurately calculating and validating sales commission payments, ensuring compliance with company policies. The Associate Staff Accountant will analyze sales and commission data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare regular reports to identify trends and improve processes.
What you’ll do…
Commission Calculations
Calculate and validate sales commission payments accurately and on time.
Review commission data to ensure compliance with company policies and compensation plans.
Data Analysis
Analyze sales and commission data to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Verify the accuracy of sales reports and supporting data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve commission-related queries and issues.
Ensure timely processing and payment of commissions.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare regular commission reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
Communicate key findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline commission processes and reporting.
Support automation and efficiency initiatives using Excel and other tools.
Ownership & Accountability
Develop a strong understanding of commission plans, calculations, and reporting processes.
Take ownership of assigned processes and proactively resolve issues with minimal supervision.
Effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
Deadline Management
Manage multiple tasks and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
Follow up with stakeholders to obtain required inputs and keep activities on track.
Proactively identify risks to deadlines and implement solutions to meet commitments.
Who you are..
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Reporting, or Data Analysis.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
