Job Description
Location: Northern Virginia (local candidates only)
Ready to create exceptional experiences for Residents while building a career in single-family property management? Real Property Management Pros is seeking an Assistant Property Readiness Coordinator to help ensure smooth move-ins, efficient move-outs, well-prepared homes, and excellent customer service.
Why Join Real Property Management Pros?
We provide hands-on training for candidates who are recent graduates, changing careers, or looking to enter property management. You’ll learn property evaluations, move-in and move-out processes, vendor coordination, and Make Ready maintenance projects.
As a locally owned franchise supported by North America’s largest residential property management organization, we offer personalized mentorship along with national resources and proven systems. You’ll work with a collaborative team focused on communication, proactive problem-solving, and delivering a first-class Resident experience.
What You’ll Do
You will oversee move-in and move-out processes by scheduling and conducting property evaluations, documenting property conditions, answering Resident questions, and coordinating follow-up when needed.
You will coordinate Make Ready projects between Resident turnovers, including repairs, cleaning, maintenance, and other services. You’ll communicate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure homes are fully prepared for new Residents.
You will serve as a key point of contact for Residents during transition periods, helping resolve concerns and creating a positive rental experience. You’ll also encourage Resident feedback as the company works to improve its Net Promoter Score (NPS).
You will collaborate with Leasing Agents to communicate property conditions, track project progress, and keep Landlord and Investor clients informed. You’ll provide concierge-level service by explaining property status and potential improvements.
You will maintain accurate records of property conditions, Resident and vendor communications, project updates, and other required information in company software and digital or physical records.
Who You Are
You are customer-focused and genuinely enjoy helping people. You are detail-oriented and able to identify issues that can affect property condition and Resident satisfaction. You are organized, flexible, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while keeping projects on schedule.
You communicate clearly and professionally with Residents, Investors, vendors, contractors, and team members, both verbally and in writing. You are comfortable learning and using software, apps, and online platforms to manage tasks and communications.
You live in Northern Virginia, ideally within the territory where the portfolio is located, and are comfortable traveling to properties for field work. You have an interest in real estate and are eager to learn single-family property management.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Customer service, property management, project coordination, mortgage processing, or similar experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for property visits. Candidates must be able to pass required background checks in accordance with local regulations.
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate is $18–$25 per hour, based on experience, with potential performance bonuses tied to team and NPS performance. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime paid at 1.5x.
The role follows a hybrid structure combining field work, remote tasks, and office collaboration. Initial training includes three days per week at our Gainesville, VA headquarters and two days per week at our Alexandria office.
Benefits include 8 paid holidays, PTO that increases with tenure, mileage reimbursement for field visits and errands, and opportunities for professional growth and internal promotion. You’ll have the opportunity to learn property management from the ground up and build a long-term career with Real Property Management Pros.
