Position Overview
Lingaya's Vidyapeeth invites applications from highly qualified and motivated academicians for the position of Associate Professor in the School of Law. The selected candidate will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, academic administration, and student mentoring while supporting the University's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and quality legal education.
Key Responsibilities
A. Teaching & Academic Excellence
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in Law.
Develop and deliver outcome-based curriculum in accordance with UGC, BCI, and NEP guidelines.
Employ innovative teaching methodologies, case-based learning, technology-enabled instruction, and experiential learning practices.
Organize moot courts, legal aid clinics, mediation exercises, and other practical learning activities.
Prepare course plans, teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation reports.
Mentor students and provide academic guidance.
B. Research & Academic Development
Guide and supervise Ph.D. research scholars, subject to University and UGC norms.
Publish research papers in Scopus-indexed and UGC-CARE-listed journals.
Undertake funded research projects, consultancy assignments, and interdisciplinary research.
Contribute to curriculum development, legal research, policy studies, and academic publications.
Participate in national and international conferences, seminars, FDPs, and workshops.
C. Academic Administration & Institutional Responsibilities
Participate in departmental and University academic committees.
Assist in admissions, examinations, student mentoring, and other academic activities.
Contribute to the organization of seminars, conferences, workshops, and extension activities.
Support industry interaction, legal outreach programmes, and institutional collaborations.
D. Quality Assurance & Institutional Development
Contribute to NAAC, NIRF, UGC, and BCI compliance activities.
Participate in curriculum revision, programme assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Support institutional ranking, accreditation, and quality enhancement efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
Ph.D. in Law is mandatory and must have been awarded at least four (04) years prior to the date of application.
LL.B. and LL.M. from a recognized University.
Qualifications shall be in accordance with the latest UGC Regulations and applicable Bar Council of India (BCI) norms.
Experience
Minimum 08 years of teaching, research, and/or academic experience in recognized institutions of higher education, as per UGC norms.
Demonstrated research credentials with publications in reputed journals.
Experience in curriculum development, academic administration, and student mentoring will be preferred.
Eligibility to supervise Ph.D. scholars, as per UGC regulations, will be an added advantage.
Desirable Skills & Competencies
Strong academic and research orientation.
Thorough knowledge of UGC, BCI, NEP, NAAC, and NIRF frameworks.
Excellent teaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
Ability to contribute to research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
Commitment to academic excellence, ethics, and student-centric education.
Industry, judiciary, and institutional networking capabilities will be an added advantage.
