Senior Builder RTCDP Frontier Pod

The Opportunity

Adobe Real-Time CDP enables enterprises to unify customer data across every source, resolve identity at scale, and activate audiences in real time across any channel. The platform processes billions of events, enforces data governance across complex enterprise hierarchies, and powers the personalization layer for some of the world's largest brands.

You will join one of our Frontier AI Pods — a small, cross-functional team with full ownership that delivers end-to-end capabilities and features asked by regional EMEA customers.

This is not a maintenance role. The capabilities are delivered fast to customers and your Pod iterates in making sure adoption is guaranteed.

What You'll Build

• Distributed services and event-driven pipelines that process real-time customer data at enterprise scale

• Secure data collaboration capabilities — the infrastructure that allows organizations to connect, share, and activate data across partner ecosystems without compromising governance

• Workflow orchestration services coordinating cross-system flows across AEP, RTCDP, and external data platforms

• Reliable, observable APIs consumed by multiple Adobe products and enterprise integrations

• Production systems with defined SLOs — you own services from design through live operation

What Success Looks Like

We hire for demonstrated delivery, not credential accumulation. Strong candidates will show:

• Correctness as a design instinct — you build distributed systems where data integrity, idempotency, and audit trails are first-class concerns, not retrofits

• Production ownership — a track record of shipping services that operate at scale, degrade gracefully, and recover without human intervention

• Customer-to-capability translation — you move fluently between what a customer needs and what the system must do, collapsing the gap between requirement and working platform feature

• AI-augmented execution — you use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) as a standard part of how you design, build, and review code

• System-level thinking — you understand not only how distributed systems work, but why the tradeoffs you made were the right ones for the context

Typical background: 8+ years building Java-based systems in production. What matters is what that experience has produced, not the number of years.

• Java / JVM - Primary language for platform services

• Temporal - Workflow orchestration

• Prometheus · Grafana · Splunk - Observability and production monitoring

Nice to Have

• Experience with data governance, privacy-preserving computation, or secure data collaboration patterns

• Background in distributed data platforms (Delta Lake, Iceberg, or similar)

• Familiarity with identity resolution or customer data unification systems

• Contributions to architecture decisions or mentoring of engineers in previous roles
