Summary
This role involves supporting ongoing capital raising initiatives, preparing investor materials, and coordinating due diligence processes for a global real estate investment manager. The Associate will also assist in managing institutional investor relationships and contribute to investor communications.
Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading global real estate investment manager seeking to add an Analyst or Associate to its Investor Relations / Capital Markets team in Los Angeles. This is a highly visible opportunity sitting at the center of capital raising and institutional investor engagement across a diversified real assets platform.
The team works closely with senior leadership on fundraising strategy, investor communication, and execution across commingled funds, co-investments, and separate accounts. This role offers the opportunity to develop into a client-facing professional while gaining exposure to a global investor base.
Key Responsibilities
Support ongoing capital raising initiatives across multiple investment strategies
Prepare and maintain investor materials, including presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and fund documentation
Coordinate due diligence processes and manage investor data rooms
Partner with investment, finance, and operations teams to deliver accurate and compelling messaging
Assist in managing relationships with institutional investors and consultants
Contribute to investor communications, including quarterly updates and marketing materials
Track fundraising pipelines and maintain CRM systems
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, investment banking, or investment management
Exposure to real estate, private equity, or private markets preferred
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for investors
Highly organized with experience managing multiple concurrent processes
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Any exposure to AI is favored
