Summary

This role involves supporting ongoing capital raising initiatives, preparing investor materials, and coordinating due diligence processes for a global real estate investment manager. The Associate will also assist in managing institutional investor relationships and contribute to investor communications.

Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading global real estate investment manager seeking to add an Analyst or Associate to its Investor Relations / Capital Markets team in Los Angeles. This is a highly visible opportunity sitting at the center of capital raising and institutional investor engagement across a diversified real assets platform.


The team works closely with senior leadership on fundraising strategy, investor communication, and execution across commingled funds, co-investments, and separate accounts. This role offers the opportunity to develop into a client-facing professional while gaining exposure to a global investor base.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing capital raising initiatives across multiple investment strategies

  • Prepare and maintain investor materials, including presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and fund documentation

  • Coordinate due diligence processes and manage investor data rooms

  • Partner with investment, finance, and operations teams to deliver accurate and compelling messaging

  • Assist in managing relationships with institutional investors and consultants

  • Contribute to investor communications, including quarterly updates and marketing materials

  • Track fundraising pipelines and maintain CRM systems


Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, investment banking, or investment management

  • Exposure to real estate, private equity, or private markets preferred

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for investors

  • Highly organized with experience managing multiple concurrent processes

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

  • Any exposure to AI is favored
