As a Statistics Intern, you will apply your quantitative training to real-world healthcare and pharmaceutical problems, working with experienced statisticians and data scientists on high-impact projects. You will gain exposure to the pharmaceutical R&D process and cross functional ways of working in a multidisciplinary environment.


What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Collect and process data required for assigned projects (e.g. clinical, observational, operational or other internal datasets).

  • Develop and apply statistical and visualization methods for integrative and predictive analysis of project data under supervision of senior statisticians (e.g. regression, classification, time-to-event, experimental design, simulation).

  • Support creation of analysis datasets, tables, listings and figures according to project requirements and GSK standards.

  • Document analytical workflows and code to an appropriate standard, and contribute to formal reports, slide decks and/or publications as appropriate.

  • Participate in team meetings and present interim and final results to project teams and the wider statistics community where appropriate.

  • Work closely with cross-functional colleagues (e.g. programming, clinical, data management, medical, business stakeholders) to understand requirements and ensure analyses are fit-for-purpose.

  • Uphold GSK’s values, ways of working and compliance standards in all analyses and documentation.
