Introduction

Hospitality & Outdoor is recruiting a passionate NQF 2 Nature Site Guide to join a prestigious Luxury Game Reserve in Northern Limpopo. This exciting Guide opportunity sits within the Hospitality, Safari, and Conservation industry and is ideal for individuals who thrive in nature, enjoy guest interaction, and are committed to delivering exceptional safari experiences.

The role offers the chance to work in a high-end reserve environment where professional guiding, guest safety, and wildlife interpretation are top priorities. The successful Nature Guide will be responsible for creating engaging and educational game drive experiences while upholding conservation principles and luxury lodge standards.


Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (essential)

  • NQF Level 2 Nature Site Guide qualification, CATHSSETA accredited (essential)

  • Previous Ranger or Field Guiding experience within a 4- or 5-star luxury lodge or game reserve (non-negotiable)

  • Valid Driver’s Licence and Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

  • Valid First Aid Level 1 certification

  • SAPS Competency Certificate (essential)

  • Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) and rifle proficiency advantageous

  • Sound knowledge of wildlife behaviour, ecology, and conservation principles

  • Ability to conduct engaging, informative, and safe guided game drives

  • Confident guest interaction skills with a strong focus on service excellence

  • Naturally friendly, outgoing, and even-tempered personality suited to luxury hospitality

  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times

  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret wildlife effectively

  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Physically fit and comfortable working long hours in a bush environment

  • Willingness to live on site and adapt to a remote lodge setting

  • Passion for conservation, wildlife education, and ethical safari practices

  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit guiding and hospitality team


Package

  • Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month
