Role overview
Summary
This role involves tracking, organizing, and analyzing operational and production datasets to identify trends and ensure data accuracy. The individual will create reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support lab activities, applying scientific principles and color theory to data interpretation.
Job Responsibilities:
Track, organize, and maintain datasets related to operations, production, or research
Analyze data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data and support business decisions
Apply knowledge of scientific principles and color theory to data interpretation (as applicable)
Document processes and maintain clear records for reporting and audits
Support lab activities including but not limited to quality control testing and sample creation
Other duties as assigned by management
Success criteria:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts; advanced skills preferred)
Background in a scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, materials science, or related)
Familiarity with color theory, color matching, or color measurement is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to execute and complete projects in a timely and accurate manner
Understand written concepts, terms, technical concepts, basic layout concepts, and ability to explain them to others
Experience with data visualization tools or software
Knowledge of quality control or lab processes
Experience working with color standards, pigments, or coatings
Report to all scheduled shifts in a timely manner or notify manager prior to start of shift if not able to do so
Work successfully in a team environment
Ability to lift 50 pounds, use hands/fingers, walk, bend, sit, squat, kneel and ability to perform all job functions throughout the shift
Work positively independently and in a team environment
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
