The Cloud Engineer Trainee role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who want to build expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, infrastructure management, automation, and cloud operations.
This role involves supporting Azure cloud environments, monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting cloud-related issues, and learning enterprise cloud operations under the guidance of experienced cloud engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in deploying and managing Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines
Support Azure IaaS environment configuration and maintenance
Troubleshoot compute, storage, and networking issues
Monitor Azure resources using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Assist with backup and disaster recovery operations
Work on Azure networking concepts including Virtual Networks and NSGs
Support high availability and scalability implementations
Assist in deployment automation using PowerShell and ARM/Bicep templates
Help configure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Day-to-Day Activities
Monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure
Supporting deployment and configuration tasks
Managing cloud operations and troubleshooting
Working on cloud automation scripts
Learning Azure best practices and enterprise cloud technologies
Required Skills
Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure fundamentals
Knowledge of cloud Virtual Machines, Storage, and Networking
Understanding of Windows Server or Linux basics
Familiarity with networking concepts like IP, DNS, and routing
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong willingness to learn cloud technologies
Preferred Skills
Exposure to PowerShell scripting or Python
Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools
Basic understanding of ARM templates or Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of cloud security and backup concepts
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field
Certifications (Preferred)
