Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Information Technology Support Intern to provide technical support and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and user-related issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, and delivering timely support to employees. The internship duration will be for six months.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Provide first-level and second-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, network, and application-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
Troubleshoot operating system, email, and application issues.
Assist users with password resets, account management, and access-related requests.
Maintain and update IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
Network & Infrastructure Support
Monitor and support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity.
Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices such as switches, routers, and access points.
Support server administration activities, including user management and basic troubleshooting.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and maintenance activities.
System Administration
Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other enterprise platforms.
Install software updates, patches, and security configurations.
Support backup and recovery processes.
Ensure endpoint security measures are implemented and maintained.
Asset Management
Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
Track asset allocation, movement, and disposal.
Ensure proper documentation of IT assets and configurations.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and organizational procedures.
Assist in IT audits and compliance-related activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and email systems.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
Familiarity with Active Directory and user administration.
Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-service-oriented approach.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.
Attention to detail and documentation skills.
