Summary

As a Senior Tools Engineer at Crytek, you will develop and deploy industry-leading tools for game teams and the CRYENGINE Sandbox Editor. This role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to improve productivity and quality, contributing to both in-cloud and on-premise development tools.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Tools Engineer for our CRYENGINE Tools team at our new state-of-the-art office in Frankfurt, Germany.

As a Senior Tools Engineer, you will be working in a cooperative, cross-disciplinary environment to develop industry-leading tools, contributing to the improvement of productivity and quality for game teams and the CRYENGINE Sandbox Editor. As part of our innovative and ambitious team, you can expect your abilities and scope of duties to grow as you make a real difference.

What You'll Do

  • Help create and deploy our suite of development tools, both in-cloud and on-prem, across multiple platforms.

  • Contribute to the development of the CRYENGINE Sandbox Editor.

  • Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and software engineers on the requirements and design of tools.

  • Propose tools and methods to increase the efficiency and quality of content development.

  • Contribute to maintenance and improvements of critical low-level systems.

  • Ensure reliability and stability of the code base, and drive adoption of new techniques, technologies and languages.

What You Will Deliver

  • 5+ years of relevant professional software development experience.

  • Excellent C#, C++ programming skills.

  • Experience with distributed, micro-service architectures and software configuration and deployment with Kubernetes.

  • Experience developing user interfaces and working with HTML and Qt frameworks (or similar).

  • Expertise with performance profiling tools.

  • Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

Nice To Have (Not Required)

  • Experience working with multithreaded, real-time systems.

  • Knowledge of WPF and/or TSX (e.g. React)

  • Strong TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go programming skills.

  • Experience with any game Engines preferably experience with CRYENGINE.
